Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ ounces (75 ml) bourbon
  • ½ ounce (15 ml) simple syrup (or sugar)
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • Crushed ice or shaved ice

 

Instructions:

  1. Place mint leaves and simple syrup in the bottom of a julep cup or serving glass.
  2. Gently muddle the mint leaves using a muddler or the back of a spoon.
  3. Add bourbon to the glass containing mint leaves and simple syrup.
  4. Fill the glass with crushed ice or shaved ice.
  5. Stir gently to mix all ingredients evenly and help distribute the mint aroma.
  6. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves as decoration.
  7. Serve with a mint straw.
  8. Enjoy slowly and savor the classic Mint Julep sensation!
